With the help ANOTHER program I made, I searched through many collisions of gliders and oscillators to see what would happen, and saved the results. I ignored symmetry and redundancies the best I could. Unfortunately, I did not find a collision which resulted in a glider reflection. I did, however, discover several interesting properties:
-It is hypothetically possible to turn any (common) oscillator into another oscillator by hitting it with gliders.
-It is possible to move or rotate most oscillators with gliders.
-Some collisions produce multiple objects.
-By combining the last two properties, almost any formation of oscillators is achievable via glider collisions.
-By colliding with a tissue in a certain fashion, the tissue can effectively "eat" the glider WITHOUT changing its state.
-There are multiple ways to destroy many oscillators with a glider (which are not listed).
If you want to test these collisions, keep in mind that the spacing between the glider and oscillator must be a certain multiple of spaces depending on the period of the oscillator.
